A Part of the Rest uses a 4-tier system for rating the condition of our vintage items. We only select items for our assortment that are very wearable with consideration that condition can be relative of age and quality of the original piece. Please read through each rating as light wear from use is common with all vintage items. 

* MINT:  These are rare pieces that are new old stock with original tags or have never been worn, in like-new condition and ready to be worn for the first time.

* EXCELLENT: These pieces have been very well kept for the age and have no imperfections to note with only minimal signs of wear.

* VERY GOOD: These pieces are very well kept, clean and very wearable but may show some signs of age and use.  Any imperfections are noted in the listing.

* GOOD:  These items show their age, but are still lovely, wearable and worth preserving. Any imperfections are noted in the listing.

Please note, vintage sizing does not always align with modern size standards. 

While we do our best to recommend a modern size, it is best to understand the measurements of each garment for fitting purposes.

All measurements taken while the garment is laying flat, some items pinned for proper fit as noted in description. 

Model is 5’3” with 34” chest, 25” waist, 34” hip and typically wears a modern US 2/4

As a general policy, all vintage items are FINAL SALE.

We aim to provide thoroughly detailed descriptions with fitting details.

If you receive an item from us that has been misrepresented, and you are displeased with your purchase, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt. It is important that we are notified within this time as we do not allow for items to be worn and then returned.

We work on a case by case basis for return requests. In most cases, if a return is granted, buyer is responsible for return shipping and a shopping credit is issued upon safe return of the items.

We offer free standard shipping to all 50 states on orders over $250.  We use USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground and a shipping notification will be sent to the email address provided on the order.  Please allow 2-3 days processing time + 2-5 business days transit time. Most items will reach you within 3-10 days.

If you require expedited shipping, please send as an email, so we can quote you and arrange for 2 day or overnight delivery.

 For orders outside of the United States, shipping rates are calculated by total order weight. Please also note that A Part of the Rest is not responsible for any incurred international duty charges required for delivery, nor are we responsible for customs holds upon arrival at delivery country.
